Western Canada’s premier public affairs company is pleased to announce its latest office in the region.
Canadian Strategy Group (CSG) continues to grow with a new office in the heart of Calgary’s downtown. Beginning today, CSG’s Calgary team will be based in the Lancaster Building on historic Stephen Avenue. The office will strengthen CSG’s presence in a city that is home to some of Canada’s largest companies and most promising start-ups.
“CSG has always worked throughout the province,” says CSG co-founder and partner Hal Danchilla. “Having a base in Calgary, however, is going up to our game. Not only can we better serve our existing clients in Southern Alberta, but we can also more readily offer government relations and strategic communications support to other Calgary companies looking to grow.”
Completed in 1919, the Edwardian commercial-style building was one of the city’s first steel-frame skyscrapers. Over the years, the Lancaster Building has been home to many notable tenants including Canada’s 11th prime minister, the Rt. Hon. R.B. Bennett.
“The new office’s central location is obviously a great fit, but it goes beyond that. The Lancaster Building is an enduring symbol of the hard work and vision that built Alberta that is now surrounded by the fruits of that same entrepreneurial spirit,” says Danchilla. “This reflects who we are. As a company, CSG is guided by the values of those who came before us as we work to find and support new opportunities for growth.”
The new office complements the recent addition of Brent Kossey, CSG’s new vice president of government relations for Alberta. A former chief of staff to a number of provincial ministers and former senior manager of government and stakeholder relations for CN Rail, Kossey has extensive experience working with all three levels of government on a range of issues.
Kossey will be supported by CSG’s Calgary-based team:
-
Meredith McDonald (Senior Manager, Communications): A former speechwriter to Prime Minister Stephen Harper and top communications aide to the Minister of State of Foreign Affairs, Meredith is using her 18 years of experience to help CSG’s clients achieve their strategic communications goals.
-
Colleen Potter (Senior Consultant): A professional relationship and operations manager with 15 years of experience, Colleen specializes in bridging the gap between strategic planning and tactical execution.
