While the NDP government will continue to use the money laundering issue to frame its Liberal opponent, health care issues, especially staff shortages causing emergency room closures, will continue to dominate the news this week.

The FIFA World Cup is coming to Canada! Vancouver will host a series of games for the 2026 event, and the city will work with FIFA to determine how many. The World Cup will be jointly hosted by Canada, the United States, and Mexico.
B.C. has signed an agreement with the Japan Overseas Infrastructure Investment Corporation for Transport and Urban Development (JOIN) to work towards increasing transportation infrastructure via clean energy and innovative solutions.
The province is expanding $10-a-day childcare by allowing some sites to offer spaces prior to December 2022. Applications may be submitted from June 20, 2022, until August 18, 2022, and will be reviewed and approved on a rolling basis.
The B.C. government introduced the Climate Preparedness and Adaptation Strategy. $513 million will be allocated to prepare for climate impacts, like fires and floods.
