Berit is an expert in Canadian federal and international politics, with a keen understanding of how provincial, federal, and global influences intersect. Before joining CSG, Berit served as a policy advisor to two former Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Mélanie Joly and the late Marc Garneau. Her work included deepening the country’s partnerships in the Americas and advising on military and dual-use exports.

Berit got her professional start working as a constituency assistant to Liberal MP Patrick Weiler and the deputy campaign manager to B.C. United MLA Jordan Sturdy. These roles gave her a strong grasp of government processes and stakeholder engagement.

Berit’s skill set is further complemented by strong communication, crisis management, and relationship-building abilities. Her strengths lie in spearheading comprehensive political engagement strategies, conducting effective outreach, and fostering positive relationships with governmental entities. 

Born and raised in Whistler, Berit completed a dual bachelor of arts (BA) degree in political science from the University of British Columbia and the Sciences Po Paris Campus de Reims. She also holds a master of arts (MA) degree from the Sciences Po Paris School in international affairs in international security, which provided her with a strong academic foundation in understanding the complexities of political landscapes and international affairs.
