Nathan Carr is a Director and Federal Practice Leader for Canadian Strategy Group, based out of Ottawa.

With over a decade of experience as a public affairs professional, Nathan is a respected and trusted voice who has advised corporate, union, and association leaders in navigating the complex world of government and politics. He has a deep understanding of political decision making in Ottawa and has significant experience in developing third-party advertising, digital advocacy, and media campaigns for clients, making him a powerful resource for organizations who need to shape the thinking of elected officials, regulators, or voters.

Prior to joining Canadian Strategy Group, Nathan led public affairs in Ottawa for Canada’s Building Trades Unions, the national coalition of international skilled trades unions representing more than 500,000 workers across Canada. Before working with Canada’s Building Trades Unions, Nathan was a vice-president and director at two other national public affairs firms, assisting clients navigate government for nearly a decade.

Originally from Ottawa, Nathan is a graduate of York University’s Political Science program, and Algonquin College’s Public Relations program.
